Harvest Songs of Praise October 2014
The Hadlow Green Singers were very professional leading us in our singing. They also performed twice in the evening, singing a wide repertoire ranging from Negro Spiritual songs to the Hallelujah chorus from Handel's Messiah. During the interval hot drinks and cake were served at the back of church while we all had time for a chat. The St Nicholas' Handbell Ringers gave a great performance to start the second half of the evening. It was good to be able to sit back and listen to the bells! We are lucky to have so much talent in church. Our Harvest Songs of Praise finished with us all singing 'Praise, my soul, the King of heaven', which was a very appropriate ending. There was a retiring collection for the Christian Aid Harvest Appeal which raised an amazing £240, for which very many thanks. To view some photos please click here |
